On Thursday, October 11th, 2024 the Benton Central Volleyball team celebrated the athletic careers of Seniors Riley Hoaks and Catie Musser. Before the game, the seniors walked hand in hand with their parents onto the court. Fans cheered and hollered as the two seniors stepped onto the Benton Central court for the last regular match of the season. The Varsity team was victorious defeating Faith Christian 3-0 with individual set scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-21.
Junior Cali Foster was also cheered on by her fellow teammates as she surpassed 1,000 kills this season. Senior Riley Hoaks received her 2,000-assist milestone during the second set of the match. When asked what this moment meant to her, Hoaks said, “Having the support from my teammates made the moment all the more special.”
After the conclusion of the game, Hoaks and Musser gave their thanks and gratitude during the team dinner and individual speeches. Congratulations on an amazing season seniors!
The Varsity team will travel to Western Boone on Saturday, October 19, to compete in the sectional of the IHSAA state volleyball tournament.
