The Benton Central girls basketball team hosted Harrison on Tuesday, January 28th for their senior night. Seniors Reece Kerkhoff, Chauncey Keller, and Avery Hardebeck were all acknowledged before the game. They were escorted by their parents, as they walked to halfcourt before the game.
The Lady Bison defeated the Harrison Raiders 63-50 in an impressive win against a 4A school. Junior McKenna Yadon led the team in scoring 16 points, followed by Senior Avery Hardebeck with 15 points and Sophomore Madison Minniear scored 12. Their win against Harrison improved the team’s record to 17-7.
At the end of the game, head coach David Baxter subbed out the Senior girls and they received a standing ovation. It’s been a great year for the seniors and Tuesday night was the perfect way to celebrate them.
Senior night was successful for the Lady Bison as they added another win to their resume.
