The boys and girls track and field teams competed in their first home meet last Thursday, which was their senior night. They went up against South Newton, North Newton, and Fountain Central.
The track and field seniors who were recognized include Aiden Thayer, Chauncey Keller, Sam Molter, Jackson Swartz, Clayton Jenkins, Tanner Brost, Tyler Crume, and Wyatt Amor.
Their senior night was successful as the girls placed first out of four teams with 78 points and the boys also finished first with 87 points.
Individually, several athletes placed first in their respective events.
Girls 1st Place Finishers
Junior Maddie Peterson placed first in the girls 200-meter dash with a time of 28.72 seconds
Junior Sienna Holscher placed first in the girls 800-meter run with a time of 2:52.55
Freshman Loralei Rayman placed first in the girls 1600-meter run with a time of 5:53.29
Senior Chauncey Keller placed first in the girls 300-meter hurdles with a time of 51.73 seconds

The team of Olive Budrea (10), Kendall Gephart (10), Maddie Peterson, and Chauncey Keller placed first in the girls 4 by 100-meter relay with a time of 54.44 seconds.

Senior Sam Molter placed first in the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 12.18 seconds
Sam Molter placed first in the boys 200-meter dash with a time of 24.83 seconds
Sophomore Alex Glotzbach placed first in the boys 400-meter dash with a time of 56.65 seconds
Junior Payton Thayer placed first in the boys 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.13
Sophomore Sam Flemming placed first in the boys 1600-meter run with a time of 5:12.14

In the boys 4 by 100-meter relay, the team of Wade Deno (11), Aiden Thayer (12), Eliyjah Roberson (9), and Sam Molter won first place with a time of 47.80 seconds.
In the boys 4 by 800-meter relay, the team of Matthew McKinnis (10), Aiden Wetli (10), Peyton Thayer, and Jonah Flemmin (11) placed first with a time of 9:35.31.
