The Benton Central boys track and field team competed in their Sectional on May 22nd at Harrison. They earned 5th place for the 4X800 relay, which consisted of Matthew McKinnis, Alex Glotzbach, Julian Flemming, and Peyton Thayer. Eliyjah Roberson placed 8th in the 100m dash. The 4X100 relay team, with Jorge Escobar, Jesus Escobar, Wade Deno, and Eliyjah Roberson, finished 8th.
There were several runners who earned new PRs and placed very well. Unfortunately, the boys weren’t able to advance to Regionals. Their season came to a close after Thursday’s hard-fought meet.
It was a great season for the Bison, and they have a lot to be proud of!
