The Benton Central Varsity baseball team hosted Frontier for their Senior Night on Monday. There are only two senior players for BC this season: Kaydric Tyson and Caden Kawlewski. The third senior is passionate manager Rylan Burge. All three seniors were recognized before the game, and Rylan had the honor of throwing out the first pitch. Honoring the seniors was truly a heartwarming moment.
The game, on the other hand, didn’t go so well. Frontier defeated the Bison in a 10-1 beatdown. The Falcons finished with nine hits and Benton Central had eight, but BC wasn’t able to turn those hits into runs.
We’ll remember this night for the seniors’ moment of recognition, and hopefully not the outcome of the game.
