Benton Central has many sports teams, but the volleyball team continues to be one of the most successful. The Benton Central Lady Bison (JV and Varsity) played against Lafayette Jeff on September 2 at home. They won in three quick sets and defeated the Broncos. They played hard and the student section was cheering them on as they went. Lafayette Jeff had improved their volleyball team after the past couple years but the Bison still stood strong and won the match. This Thursday they played against Frontier at home and beat this team in three as well. A huge accomplishment was made during this match, with Isabelle Adams getting her 1,000 assist! Congrats Izzy!
Next Saturday they will have their first tournament of the season and will continue with tournaments for the remainder of the season. Their first tournament will be the Harrison Invitational and they hope to beat them after the Raiders won against the Bison earlier this season.
The Lady Bison continue to practice hard after school and on the weekends to keep improving throughout the season and to hopefully continue to have a winning streak. To be a part of this team, join the student section and cheer or come watch in the stands. Games start at 6pm for JV and Varsity follows.
