With fall sports wrapping up their season, winter sports are right around the corner. There have been many who have been doing offseason work. With some in club sports or competing in the off-season, many have been putting in the work! Not only that, but also newcomers are coming up.
A newcomer to the women’s wrestling team, Clydette Petersen, said she’s looking forward to “being around new people and wrestling new teammates.”
Not only are newcomers excited, but returning athletes Sophomores Payton Krug and Kate Whaley are ready for the new season.
When Payton was asked what some things she is looking forward to this year in swimming, she responded with “definitely swimming with friends and just swimming in general.”
Even though cheer hasn’t had much of an offseason, with being at every single football game hyping up the Bison crowd, some are looking forward to switching over from football to basketball. When Kate Whaley was asked about how she felt transitioning from the two sports she said, “I’m really excited to get to cheer with all the new people that are coming in for basketball season.”
