On October 4, the Lady Bison traveled to Twin Lakes High school to compete for the Hoosier Conference Champion title. Their first game was played in the main gym against Twin Lakes. The Bison won the first set 25-8 and the second set 25-12. It was a quick win which led them to have their next match at the Roosevelt Middle School gym. There, they played Lafayette Central Catholic and they again played hard and won 25-14 and then 25-16. After this match, it led the team to the championship game back at the Twin Lakes main gym. Their opponent was a tough competitor, Hamilton Heights. The first set was a win for the Bison (25-21) but the next set went to their opponents (16-25). During time out they regrouped and became more focused on winning this match. Since the games only went to 3 sets this weekend they had to be able to win the last one. Thankfully, the Lady Bison played hard and defeated Hamilton Heights with the third set being 25-18. The Benton Central Varsity Volleyball team were named the champs and got to take home a plaque for their accomplishment!
