The past 2 months the CNA class have been working very hard to make sure they are prepared and ready for clinicals starting December 1st. This past 2 months they all received their CPR certifications as well as toured University Place where they will be completing their clinical hours. They have been working very hard learning all 72 RCP’s (Resident Care Procedures) which will be used when going into clinicals. They also got to have a booth at the career fair where they got to tell other students what being a CNA looks like as well as getting a lot of students and teachers to sign up for the Blood Drive. They also get to do some fun things like going to the elementary school and complete vision screenings, shadowing nurses at the hospital to see what their day in the life looks like, and a lot more. This class is very beneficial if you want a career in the healthcare field. It gives you the basics of healthcare like charting and bedside manners. If one day you would like to be a Nurse, Doctor, EMT, etc. this might be the class for you.
