Last Saturday the cross country team ran at their home course for a Bison Stampede. The invitational hosted 13 girls’ teams and 14 boys teams. It was a pretty big meet for the bison. The girls, Loralei Rayman, Sienna Holscher, and Allie Wuethrich were running first. not enough to place as a team but they still ran their hearts out. Loralei Rayman placed 4th with a time of 21:57, and Sienna Holscher placed 9th with 22:42, earning them both ribbons. Allie Wuethrich placed 54th with a time of 28:09. there was a total of 71 girls running!
The boys on the other hand had enough for a full varsity team and jv. running top 7 were Carter Fox, Matthew McKinnis, Jonah Fleming, Grady Rudolph, Sam Fleming, Jude Johnson, and Ben Caldanaro. Louie Pyke, Dietrich Payne, Wyatt Amor, Jackson Smith, Dominic Dean, and Cameron Glotzbach were other runners. Carter Fox placed 10th with a time of 17:48 earning him a ribbon. Following behind him was Matthew McKinnis placing 30th running 19:03. Jonah Fleming placed 33rd running 19:19. Grady Rudolph placed 37th running 19:28. Sam Fleming placed 46th running 19:53. Jude Johnson placed 55th running 20:06. Ben Caldanaro placed 59th running 20:22. With 113 runners total this was an amazing performances by the Varsity earning them 4th place!
Also, Louie Pyke placed 72nd running 20:51. Dietrich Payne placed 91st running 22:22. Wyatt Amor placed 97th running 23:03. Jackson Smith placed 102nd running 23:25. Dominic Dean placed 107th running 24:13. Cameron Glotzbach placed 112th running 27:50.
One other big highlight from this meet was all the new personal best! For the girls Sienna Holscher cut 5 seconds. For the boys Sam Fleming by 6 seconds, Jude Johnson by a minute 13 seconds, Ben Caldanaro by a minute and 20 seconds, Louie Pyke a minute and 11 seconds, and Dietrich Payne by a minute 6 seconds.
Lastly, after all the runners were done with racing and awards they honored their only senior Wyatt Amor. As the team enjoyed a meal made by the team’s parents, Samiyah Rich and Jude Johnson gave his senior speech.
