On October 26th the Benton Central Supermileage Team had the amazing opportunity to go on a private tour of McKinney Corporation in Lafayette, IN. McKinney Corp has manufactured professional race cars since 1981 and was originally located in Otterbein, IN. They currently produce Top Fuel, A Fuel, and Rear Engine Dragsters as well as Alcohol Funny Cars. In addition to supporting the racing industry, McKinney Corp leverages their capabilities to manufacture countless products for other industries around the world. The students in the Benton Central Supermileage Team were able to draw on the experience of Murf McKinney to inform their design process for the upcoming Future Builds Supermileage Competition as well as the Future Builds Karting Challenge. The team would like to publicly thank McKinney Corp for opening their doors to our students and providing them with such a meaningful and impactful experience. The team is excited to defend their championship in the EV Prototype division in 2025!
