Jackson Swartz Makes Journal and Courier’s Big School All-Area Football Team

The Big School All-Area football team consists of Class 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A football programs in the Journal and Courier area. The team is voted on by the coaches. Senior Jackson Swartz was nominated for Benton Central. Jackson played the offensive line and defensive line for the Bison. Journal and Courier writer Ethan Hansen wrote that Jackson was a “bright spot for the Bison, who were winless in 2024.”

Hi! I'm Aiden Jessie, and I'm a senior at Benton Central. I have been involved with BC Stampedia since I started taking the Digital Design class. I am also involved in National Honor Society, CAAP, Council of Academic Excellence, Spanish National Honors Society, and Life Teen. I plan to study sports journalism at either Ball State or IU Bloomington. A fun fact about me is that I am a blogger for a Chicago Bears news outlet called Chicago Bears Nation.

Sienna Holscher, Yearbook Sports Editor

My name is Sienna Holscher and I'm a junior at Benton Central. This is the first year I'm a part of the Stampedia and Digital Design, although I'm going on my 5th year with the yearbook! I'm also involved with the student council as head of the Homecoming Committee, CAAP, and CAAP Advisory Board. I do varsity wrestling and track. I enjoy photography as that's what got me into the yearbook 7th-grade year. My mom studied art and design in college and taught me how to use a camera when I was younger. She saw there was a yearbook callout and she told me I should give it a try. Now, it's one of my biggest passions. My favorite thing is to take pictures at sports events and out of all the sports, football is my favorite to photograph.
