This winter break, on January 2nd, the Girls Wrestling Team won first place in their Sectional Competition at Jefferson High School. The girls earned a total of 166.5 points, roughly 30 points ahead of second-place Harrison High School, securing a complete victory. Some girls who really stood out at this meet were Isabel Sayre, Sydney Groves, and Laurana Dillion. All three of them got first place in their weight classes. Isabel Sayre scored the most points, with a total of 26, which helped the girls a lot. Sydney Groves scored 24 points, and Laurana Dillion scored 23. When asked for a quote about the girls’ victory, Senior Isabel Sayre said, “I could not have done it without my team behind me. I’m so glad I could do it with them, and we trained for the family.”
