The Benton Central tennis team has really turned it around this year. They had a rough year last year with a record of 5-16 this year. This year, without losing a single player from last year, the tennis team’s record is 13-3, including an 11-game win streak after a loss to McCutcheon in their first match, losing it 2-3. So far this year, the tennis team has played in two invitationals, including the North Montgomery Invitational, playing 3 teams with a total of 15 different matches that day. They finished 13-2, winning the trophy by beating North Montgomery, South Vermillion, and lastly Parke Heritage. This past weekend, they played in the McCutcheon invitational, losing in a close battle against Lapel and McCutcheon, but came out with a blowout win against South Montgomery.
