On September 9th 2025 our Benton Central girls Varsity and JV Volleyball team played West Lafayette High School. JV lost the first set against the Red Devils but came back to win the 2nd set. They went on to play a tie breaker and they were really close but unfortunately they could not pull through in the tiebreaker. I asked a JV player, Lexi Dalton what she’s most excited for this season. She said, “I’m excited to play with a new team, new girls, and play to the best of our skill abilities.” Later that night the Varsity also played, the first set was really close but they pulled through to win the first set. In the second set they took victory as well as the third and final set. I asked a varsity player Izzy Adams some questions and she said, “I am looking forward to a great season of opportunities and trying something new. One goal I have is to be a great teammate and learn new skills within cheerleading.” The Varsity team is doing great this season as they are 6-2, and ranked 67th in Indian. Come support the Bison on Tuesday September 16th as they play Covington at home, Game starts at 6:00 for varsity.
