The Herd’s on the Hunt — Semi-State, Here We Come!

The Benton Central Varsity Volleyball Team is on the way to Semi-State after an exciting Regional Victory

On Saturday, October 25th, the Lady Bison Volleyball team stormed the court to compete against Sheridan at Twin Lakes High School. The Lady Bison left the gym victorious, with scores of 25-14 in set one, 25-17 in set two, and a final set of 25-8. This was the Bison’s regional championship match, meaning that the Bison are qualified to compete in the Semi-State semi-final game this upcoming weekend! Here, they are to face the number one-ranked school in Class 2A for volleyball, Southwood High School. This game is at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 1st. If they beat Southwood, they will move on to the Semi-State championship game, which takes place at 4:00 pm that same evening!

The Lady Bison’s work and effort they’ve put in this season truly represent their team motto:

“One Team, One Fight”

We wish the Lady Bison good luck at the Semi-State this weekend! Make sure to show up in your “Blackout” attire to support your girls this Saturday!

Hello! My name is Kate Cox, and I am a Junior at Benton Central High School! I love to be involved in my many activities, including Benton Central Varsity Volleyball, Spanish Honors Society, National Honors Society, 2027 Class Officers, 4-H Junior Leaders, CAAP, and Spanish Club. I am the vice president of the Spanish club, and enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and animals in my free time! A fun fact about me is that I have been playing volleyball for 8 years!
