Attention Seniors! If you are planning to go to College or Trade School, make sure you are looking out for deadlines! Each College has a different deadline for applications, so if you’re interested in a specific college, make sure you are checking in on their websites. A lot of college applications can go up until early spring, but the earlier you apply, the better chance you will get in. If you are already committed to a college, make sure you are checking your email daily, because there are deposits you might have to make, like housing or meal plans. Also, check for mandatory events that you are required to attend. But the deadlines don’t end there. Financial Aid is very, very important. If you have not filled out FAFSA, you need to ASAP. They only have so much money they can give out, so if you wait, you might not get what you wish to get. There are so many scholarships that you can apply for, but every scholarship has a different deadline, so make sure you are checking very frequently for scholarships you would like to apply for. Mrs. Watts has created a page for scholarships that every senior can look at if you would like a guide when applying. The Benton Community Foundation scholarships will be open in December to apply, and will be given out later this school year on Senior Night. If you have any questions, get in contact with your counselor, Mrs. Watt or Mrs. Rhoades!

Olivia Perkins, Editor
Hi! My name is Olivia Perkins and I’m a Senior at Benton Central. I took Design Fundamentals not only to receive credits but because I thought this was a fun and exciting class to end off my high school journey. I’m also involved in Helping Hands, CAAP, and National Honor Society. A little fun fact, I was Jr. Miss Benton County in 2024 and I’m a soon to be 10 year 4-H member of the swine barn!
