The Benton Central girls’ tennis team looks a little different this year, as there are many new players who have joined. Also, two seniors, Madeline Peterson and Samiyah Rich, represent the only girls from the Class of 2026 to play this sport. There are also two new freshmen playing, Emma Kottkamp and Kara Schieler, along with a new sophomore, Hannah Wetli. Since the tennis team has grown in numbers, they are hoping to win more matches this season. The team also placed second at the Logansport Invitational last weekend, with Emma Hinds and Taryn Klemme winning their individual brackets. The tennis team is undefeated so far! New players mean new opportunities. Come out and support your Lady Bison Tennis Team as they continue to make progress throughout their season!

About the Contributor
Hello! I am Ella Creek, a current senior in the Design Fundamentals class. I am involved in numerous clubs, such as Class Officers, Student Council, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Council of Academic Excellence, and Business Professionals of America. I also participate in Varsity Volleyball Management and Varsity Swim. Outside of school, I am a 10-year 4-H member, a lifeguard at the Moses Fowler Pool, and I help my dad with Creek Farms Inc. A fun fact about me is that I have been to the Grand Canyon! I am so excited to be a part of the Stampedia, BCTV, and Yearbook team this year! Go Bison!
